Nooka collaborated with industrial designer, Karim Rashid to produce Nooka’s first circular timepiece, the "Yogurt". Combining Karim’s philosophy of "democratic design" with Nooka’s philosophy of "universal language" resulted in a very truly unique piece. Additionally, the AO was revamped, rendering it substantially larger plus more durable than its predecessor. It also featured a removable insert providing more versatility of use.
The name Nooka was engineered by Matthew to evoke futurism by incorporating the sound ‘nu’ from both "nuclear" and "new." And stemming from the New York roots, Nooka can be a contraction of "New Yorker" when said while using local accent.
